Mike joined WMU in 1999 with the International Pilot Training Center as a Jet Orientation Course (JOC), 737 simulator and course instructor. Currently he is an instructor for the COA's Jet Equivalence Training program (JET). He is involved with curriculum development, supporting and instructing AVS courses, JTAO, NIFA and special interest groups. Prior to joining WMU, he received his private and commercial pilot certificates while serving with the Air Force stationed in Maine and Alaska from 1967 to 1971. From 1971 to 1973 upon leaving the Air Force he continued his aviation education and obtained his instrument, CFI, CFII and multi-engine certificates in Milwaukee. From 1972 to 1976 he flew as a captain and first officer with a commuter airline based in Florida, throughout the Southeast flying Cessna 402 and DC-3 aircraft. Based in Cleveland from 1976 to 1978 he flew charter flights (aircraft flown included DC-3, Hansa Jet, and Cessna Citation). From 1978 to1998 Mike flew Lear Jets domestic and international as a captain for a major corporation. As senior base pilot, responsibilities included oversight of daily aircraft operation and personnel. From 1998 to 1999 he was an instructor and a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) in the Lear Jet program under part 142 for a major training center based in Dallas. Mike has logged over 11,700 industry flight hours during his 36 year career. His qualifications include an ATP certificate ASEL, AMEL and Lear Jet type rating, as well as CFI/CFII/MEI instructor certificates. He has also been certified by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority under JAR-FCL as a Multi Crew Co-operation Course Instructor (MCCI). Mike is married to Cherie and has two daughters and one granddaughter.

Dennis joined the College of Aviation in 2000 as a Jet Orientation Course academic and synthetic flight instructor. To serve in this position, he was certified by the UK's Civil Aviation Authority as a multi crew co-operation course instructor. Currently, Dennis instructs in the college's Jet Equivalence Training program and provides labs for a variety of other AVS courses. Prior to joining the college's staff, Dennis served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force until he retired in 2000 with a rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his time in the Air Force, Dennis flew the C-141 and achieved qualification as an instructor aircraft commander. His assignments included two tours of duty at the Air Force's C-141 formal training center where he was able to provided classroom, simulator, and flight instruction. Dennis' students included ab initio students transitioning to the C-141, as well as students upgrading to aircraft commander and flight instructor. In addition to his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Pacific Lutheran University, Dennis was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University.
