Report a Virus

If your workstation becomes infected with a virus, please contact us as quickly as possible to help keep our network safe.

If your computer is already infected with a virus:

• Call 387-3378
• DO NOT send any e-mails
• DO NOT log into any online accounts

If you have questionable e-mail:

1. DO NOT open suspicious-looking e-mail in your inbox.



2. Right click on the e-mail and select "Forward as Attachment". If you are unsure or do no know how to right click, please contact us before proceeding.



3. Send to Check4Virus
   (ae-check4virus@groupwise.wmich.edu)



4. After the email has been sent to Check4Virus please right click the email and select “Delete and Empty” immediately. Select “Yes” when asked to confirm the deletion. If your email does not contain a Virus we will return it to you.
