Computer Services
The mission of AE Computer Services is to service the computing related business needs of the AE departments and business units in an effective and efficient manner.
In addition to providing computer desktop support to both the Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh platforms, Computer Services also routinely works with each business unit to find ways in improving and streamlining business and computing functions. A "Standard Operating Environment", or SOE, is utilized in the computing environment to facilitate consistancy in support and management of the computer systems, thus allowing the business units computer systems to operate reliably and successfully.
The team consists of full-time staff and student employees with broad knowledge and expertise in technical support who collaborate to provide the best possible support to our customers. Cross-training is part of the routine in an effort to insure maximum flexibility in addressing the business units's priority service and support requirements.
