Martin Burch has been a part-time faculty member in the Graphic Design program since 2003. From 1999 to 2005, he worked in a variety of media as a graphic designer for Herman Miller, Inc. He is a freelance graphic designer, filmmaker, and photographer in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His clients include Western Michigan University, the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute, the Grand Rapids Ballet Company, Kalamazoo City Commissioner Sean McCann, Congressional Candidate Don Cooney, the Kalamazoo County Democratic Party, Retro, and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. He is currently the art director for the Association for Behavior Analysis International. His areas of focus include typography, branding and identity design, and print media. Additionally, he is an instructor at the Kirk Newman Art School in the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He holds a BFA in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a BA in English, both from Western Michigan University. His work has been appeared in Creativity and Print magazines.
