The Academy at Western Michigan University was established to honor distinguished alumni, creating an exchange between these individuals, faculty and students in departmental programs.

The Academy encourages ongoing communication with alumni as an advisory group consulting as appropriate on art and design advocacy issues pertinent to our institution.

Our inaugural year inductees are accomplished artists/designers whose diverse paths and professional influences share a commonality as undergraduates in the School of Art.
