For students who previously attended WMU or applied within the past two years but never enrolled. Please note: If you were academically dismissed, you must complete this application and meet with an academic advisor in the WMU college you wish to enter before submitting the application.
If you are not seeking a degree and only wish to take classes, you may apply for Non-Degree status. You must use this printable form. Non-Degree status may limit both course and financial aid options. Acceptance for Non-Degree does not constitute degree admission to WMU.
For those who have a bachelor's degree and now wish to obtain a second bachelor's degree and those who have graduated from a four-year, accredited college or university and now wish to obtain Michigan teacher certification.
For undergraduate students currently at other colleges seeking guest student status at WMU
For high school students seeking permission to take WMU classes while enrolled in high school.
Persons who are 62 years of age or older may qualify for this non-degree program, which is also known as Project SCOPE. The application fee is waived for SCOPE applicants. Students who want to register for credit are not eligible for SCOPE. The paper application is only available for undergraduate applicants. Read more about SCOPE.
As of September 2, 2014, WMU has implemented a new online application system for its graduate programs. This single system now handles graduate applications for all application types and paper applications are no longer available. For more graduate application information, go here.
