The nonrefundable $40 application fee must be paid online via credit card or by electronic check. Payments are processed by a secure server.
WMU may request additional documentation to verify an applicant's residency status. For more information, see residency policy.
An official transcript from all post-secondary institutions attended, except WMU, must be sent directly to Western Michigan University, Office of Admissions, 1903 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo MI 49008-5211. Only official transcripts (issued within 30 days of the date received and sent directly to the Office of Admissions) are accepted. Hand carried or student copies are not accepted.
Your application will be considered complete after all official transcripts and required test scores are received. Your online application is sent immediately to the academic department. The academic department will notify you about required departmental application materials. Once the department makes an admission decision, they will notify you and the Admissions Office. The length of the admission process varies by department.
Note: All documents submitted become the property of Western Michigan University and cannot be returned to the applicant or released to other institutions.
