Undergraduate Programs

The anthropology program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the human condition based on the integration of historical, cultural, and biological perspectives. Through course offerings, students will broaden their familiarity with diverse ways of human life, past and present; gain knowledge of human adaptation and variation from our earliest ancestors to modern peoples; be exposed to employment opportunities in a variety of applied fields; and be prepared for graduate study in anthropology.

Students should meet with their advisor at least once every semester prior to selecting courses for the following semester. Students applying to graduate school in anthropology are encouraged to meet with their advisor two semesters before they plan to graduate for assistance in selecting appropriate programs.
