A closer look: Michele Penney’s focus is medical anthropology. Her interests focus on biological and cultural aspects of population trends. Previous fieldwork has been done at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in a biological context as well as on a Ramah Navaho reservation in New Mexico in a cultural context. She is a volunteer assistant coach on WMU’s softball team.
