Michele Penney

Research interests: Anthropology of sports, medical anthropology, human growth and development, human diversity, and applied anthropology

A closer look: Michele's focus is on the anthropology of sports. Her interest includes collegiate level sport participation and body image and ideals. Previous fieldwork has been done at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History in a biological context as well as on a Ramah Navaho reservation in New Mexico in a cultural context.
