Research interests: Archaeological collections management, curation, artifact conservation, and material culture studies; Historical Archaeology of the colonial New World, European/ Native Contact; Archaeology of Britain and Ireland from the Mesolithic through the post-Medieval period

A closer look: Erin has been involved with the Fort St. Joseph Archaeological Project in multiple capacities since beginning her graduate studies at Western Michigan University, including as Fort St. Joseph Museum Intern, Field School Teaching Assistant, and Laboratory Supervisor. She is currently working on a thesis project on the subject of archaeological collections management which will include creating an information management scheme for the project's associated documentation. This scheme will focus on the incorporation of digital technologies, including the internet, to better facilitate access to records and thereby facilitate research on the project's finds.
