WMU President John Dunn suggests more inclusive Michigan Research Triangle

Dr. Timothy Greene becomes WMU Provost
Dr. Timothy J. Greene is WMU's new provost and vice president for academic affairs. Greene has been the dean of WMU's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences since April 2005. Greene stresses the importance of developing strong internal and external partnerships to extend the University's ability to meet its goals and serve the larger community. More


WMU Day at the Capitol is a success

More than 700 WMU alumni, students, faculty and staff gathered in Lansing on May 28 to share their pride in WMU with the state's legislators and policymakers and to demonstrate the importance of WMU as one of the state's five research universities. More

WMU Partners with Cooley Law School
Students will be able to earn a law degree and an MBA simultaneously, due to a new partnership between WMU's Haworth College of Business and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. More

Student wins Yamaha artist competition
Hana Beloglavec of Kalamazoo is one of nine nationwide finalists in the esteemed Yamaha Young Performing Artists Competition. Beloglavec is a sophomore majoring in music performance and a member of WMU's Lee Honors College. Her recent accomplishments include placing second in the U.S. Army Band's National Trombone Solo Competition. More

Former Bronco now a Raven
WMU's Joe Reitz recently had quite a weekend when he graduated on a Saturday afternoon and then saw his dreams of having a chance in the NFL realized with a phone call on Sunday night. Reitz agreed to a free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. More

WMU teams in NCAA's top 10 percent academically
Congratulations to WMU's baseball, volleyball and gymnastic teams, all of which placed in the top 10 percent for the NCAA Academic Progress rates. WMU was one of just two programs in the Mid American Conference to have three teams make the list. More
