Graduate faculty are top ten in four fields
According to The Chronicle of Higher Education's Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index, WMU faculty in the University's Science Education, Counselor Education, Applied Economics, and Education Evaluation and Research graduate programs are in the top 10 of the 375 universities surveyed. More


Six Broncos serving together in Iraq
Six WMU alumni, spanning more than 30 years of WMU ROTC history, are currently serving together in the 300th Military Police Brigade and were recently deployed to Iraq. Dunn named to state economic board
WMU President, Dr. John Dunn, has been appointed by Governor Jennifer Granholm to the State's Strategic Economic Investment and Commercialization Board. Dunn's appointment further avows WMU's position as a research university on the cutting edge of research and technology.More

Alumnus plans $5 million bequest for WMU
Wanting to ensure future WMU students continue to have access to excellent faculty, an alumnus, who wishes to remain anonymous, has made a $5 million gift, through a bequest, for faculty recruitment and retention.

The WMU-Lansing Campus has re-located to the new University Center on the campus of Lansing Community College. Gebhart makes Academic All-America team
Anthony Gebhart, captain and a senior member of the 2007 WMU football team, has been selected for First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors. An Addison, IL native, Gebhart is a economics major with a 3.83 grade point average. More
