President Dunn Inaugurated

Dr. John M. Dunn was formally installed as the eighth president of Western Michigan University during inaugural ceremonies held in Miller Auditorium on March 24. More

WMU wins environmental award

WMU was selected for the 2008 Environmental Award by the Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce's Environmental Advisory Committee in recognition of the University's efforts to implement sustainable design practices in its new buildings, its commitment to major storm water management improvements throughout its Kalamazoo campus and the University's development of a centralized energy usage control system. Bronco softball in winning streak
Western Michigan's softball team is currently riding a four-game win streak, its longest of the season. Distinguished Teaching Award nominations due
Each year Western Michigan University recognizes outstanding teaching by awarding one or more Distinguished Teaching Awards. The Selection Committee invites you to nominate a faculty member you believe should be considered for this award. Nominations are due by September 12. More


Golden Apple Award nominations sought
The College of Education Alumni Society is currently seeking nominations for its
Golden Apple Award. The award is presented annually to accomplished WMU graduates who are currently working or have retired from the many professions involved in the educational field. The award recipients will be selected by their peers as representatives of educational excellence and commitment. Nominations will be accepted through June 1 for the 2008 Awards.
