March 29, the Presidential Search Advisory Committee submitted
to the WMU Board of Trustees its recommendation of four finalists
in the search for WMU's next president. The names and biographical

Dr. Mark Hurwitz, assistant professor of political science, has been named legal notes editor for the Justice System Journal. In his new editor post, Hurwitz will be responsible for contributing articles on contemporary judicial topics and overseeing the editing process for journal submissions. More.

Western Michigan University's Bronco football team will play six home games during its 2007 schedule, including the home opener against Indiana University and a 2 p.m. homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 20 against Ball State University. More.

than one week after becoming the 5th Bronco to be named CCHA
Rookie of the Year, Bronco hockey player Mark Letestu signed
a two-year agreement with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National
Hockey League. Letestu led the Broncos in goals, assists and
points this season and was the nation's top freshman scorer. Continue.

After
graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration,
Aaron Beals began a career in media planning at General
Motors Planworks in Detroit. This position paved the
way to his current position for Ring Ring, LLC of
West Bloomfield, MI. Handling both regional and national
accounts, Aaron is in charge of creating and implementing
vanity toll-free numbers to enhance companies' advertising
capabilities.
When reflecting on his professional success, Aaron stated, "At WMU I really had a chance to build strong relationships with my professors. They were there to help me achieve my goals for the future." More.
The
College of Education Alumni Society is seeking nominations
for its annual Golden Apple Award. The award is presented
to accomplished WMU graduates who are currently working
or have retired from the educational field. Nominations
will be accepted through June 1 for the 2007 awards. More.
