1991 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient
Judith Taack Lanier
1958 Bachelor of Arts
Ms. Lanier earned a doctorate from Michigan State University. A distinguished professor of teacher education and dean of the MSU College of Education, she is regarded as one of the nation's foremost leaders in education. She has been president of the Holmes Group, a consortium dedicated to improving teaching and learning. In 1990, she was named president of the Michigan Partnership for New Education. She is the recipient of the 1991 McGraw Prize in Education.
