1989 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient

Jack Ryan

1948 Bachelor of Arts

Dr. Ryan earned a master's degree from Emory University and a medical degree from Wayne State University. He began his career as a family practitioner and was later president of a 21-person multi-specialty group practice. In 1969, he was named chief of staff of Detroit-Macomb Hospital Corporation and also served as vice president before being named president and CEO in 1977. He has held leadership positions for various state and national professional associations.
