1982 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient

John W. Dwyer

1966 Master of Business Administration

Mr. Dwyer was a first lieutenant in U.S. Air Force. He joined American Seating Corporation, Grand Rapids, in 1961 as controller. He also served as its treasurer, vice president and executive vice president before being named president and chief executive office in 1969. He served on the boards of several corporations, including Amerisure Companies and Old Kent Corporation, and served on the board of the WMU Foundation.
