
The WMU Alumni Association offers a warm welcome and sincere congratulations to James S. Thomas who has accepted President Dunn's invitation to join the WMU family as the new vice president for development and alumni relations. Mr. Thomas was selected following a nationwide search and he will officially take over his new role on October 5. 
WMU alumni from near and far will reunite on campus October 1-3 to reaffirm their Bronco pride and reconnect with former classmates, professors and staff.
Details on all the many activities, including the WMU Alumni Association’s annual PepFest, are posted on the Association's calendar and updated continually throughout the summer.

Leslie Wilk Braksick, M.A. ’87, Ph.D. ’90, Richard Allen Griffin, B.A. ’73 and William D. Johnston, B.S. ’70, M.A. ’74, are the 2010 recipients of the WMU Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award. This award, the Association's most prestigious honor, was established in 1963 to recognize alumni who have achieved a high level of success in their professions. The 2010 recipients will be honored at the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner, which will take place Friday, Oct. 1.
