The Western Student Association is working with the University administration to erect a new or updated memorial in support of the men and women of WMU who have served their country. The proposed memorial would honor the students, faculty, staff and alumni of WMU who have served in a branch of the armed services, provided aid through organizations such as the American Red Cross or Peace Corps, and lost their lives in tragic events like the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
While the actual design of the memorial will take some time, the Service Memorial Steering Committee has put together a list of items that might be incorporated. This is where you come in--we are seeking ideas for an inspirational message to be included in the memorial. Use the following form to submit your idea. It can be a famous saying or something you've written yourself, but it should be timeless, inclusive and inspirational to all who visit WMU's campus.
