If you are a freshman or transfer applicant and you wish to use the
paper application, download this printable application.
Non-degree admission ![]()
If you are not seeking a degree and only wish to take classes, you may
apply for Non-Degree status. You must use this printable form. Non-Degree
status may limit both course and financial aid options. Acceptance for
Non-Degree does not constitute degree admission to WMU. Bachelor's degree
graduates who are seeking permission to take classes must use the Graduate
non-degree application

For students who previously attended WMU (or applied within the past two years but never enrolled). Please note: If you were academically dismissed, you must meet first with an academic advisor in the WMU college you wish to enter. Complete instructions are included on Page 2 of the application.

For high school students seeking permission to take WMU classes while

Second bachelor's degree admission ![]()
For those who have a bachelor's degree and now wish to obtain a
second bachelor's degree.
Post baccalaureate initial teacher certification ![]()
For those who have graduated from a four-year, accredited college or university
and now wish to obtain Michigan teacher certification.
Senior citizen's opportunity program in education (SCOPE) ![]()
Persons who are 62 years of age or older may qualify for this non-degree
program, which is also known as Project SCOPE. Students who want to register
for credit are not eligible for SCOPE. Read more about SCOPE in the online academic catalog.
