Apply for undergraduate admission

Please choose one of the following application options:

 

Freshman online application

Before you apply online

Did you previously attend WMU or submit an application within the last two years?

If so, you must use the Application for Readmission.

Is this the correct application for you?

The online application is only for:

  • U.S. citizens who have completed college courses after graduating from high school (or have a GED) and do not have a bachelor's degree.
  • I-551 permanent resident card holders who have completed college courses after graduating from high school (or have a GED) and do not have a bachelor's degree.

    Note: A copy of the I-551 alien registration card must be mailed to admissions. Processing of the application will be delayed until the copy is received.

At the end of the application instructions page you will find a link to the online application. Please note that you may save your progress and continue your online application at any time.

Transfer student online application

Before you apply online

Did you previously attend WMU or submit an application within the last two years?

If so, you must use the Application for Readmission.

Are you seeking a second bachelor's degree or post baccalaureate initial teacher certification?

If so, you must use the Post Baccalaureate Initial Teacher Certification Application.

Is this the correct application for you?

The online application is only for:

If you are not seeking a degree and only wish to take classes, you may apply for Non-Degree status. You must use this printable form. Non-Degree status may limit both course and financial aid options. Acceptance for Non-Degree does not constitute degree admission to WMU. Bachelor's degree graduates who are seeking permission to take classes must use the Graduate non-degree applicationPDF.

For those who have graduated from a four-year, accredited college or university and now wish to obtain Michigan teacher certification.

Senior citizen's opportunity program in education (SCOPE) PDF
Persons who are 62 years of age or older may qualify for this non-degree program, which is also known as Project SCOPE. Students who want to register for credit are not eligible for SCOPE. Read more about SCOPE in the online academic catalog.
