Multiculturalism Leader Scholarship

The Multicultural Leader Scholarship (MLS) program targets students from select high schools with a 3.0+ GPA and an 18+ ACT composite or 860+ SAT (math and critical reading). Qualifying students are invited to Western Michigan University to compete for one of the MLS awards which total $16,000 ($4,000 per year for four (4) years). Also, MLS recipients will become a part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Academy which offers a number of academic and social supports as well as encourages students to be active in diversity and multiculturalism on campus as well as the Kalamazoo community. Students who participate in the competition that are not awarded the MLS will be awarded the Diversity scholarship. This is a one-time $1,000 award.
