With more than 150 bachelor degree areas and 86 subjects in master's and doctoral level programs, chances are Western Michigan University offers a program that is just right for you:
The Haenicke Institute's International Services and Student Affairs
(ISSA) office handles all phases of the international undergraduate admission process. Please visit the ISSA's international admissions information
page for more information about the application process for international students.
To start the process, applicants must obtain the international student application information and apply online, or send the printable application via postal mail. To determine your admissibility to Western Michigan University, the ISSA admissions staff will review your academic credentials and evaluate international transfer credits. This process may take 3-4 weeks. A Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 on a U.S.4-point scale or equivalent is strongly recommended.
In addition, financial support documents, an English proficiency score (TOEFL 500 PBT, 173CBT, or 62 iBT for restricted enrollment; 550 PBT, 213 CBT, or 80 iBT for unrestricted enrollment), and the application fee must also be provided to ISSA (see Application Information for details). When all these materials are provided and the admission criteria are met, ISSA admissions staff issues the initial Certificates of Eligibility (I-20 or DS-2019) to admitted students.
