Penny Bundy assumed the Director of Admissions of Western Michigan University position in July 2006. Prior to that she served in admission positions at a private college in Ohio and a public university in Indiana. Her admissions experience totals more than 25 years. Penny earned a bachelor's degree from Defiance College in 1988 with dual majors in communication arts and music. She completed her Master of College Student Personnel Administration in 1999 from Ball State University. Penny has completed all course requirements for a doctorate in Community, Adult, and Higher Education at Ball State.
As Director of Admissions, Penny oversees the Office of Admissions operations including all programming for recruitment and yield initiatives, the Welcome Center, application processing, budget, communication strategies and initiatives, and long range planning and goal setting. Her professional philosophy is to treat each person with dignity and respect and to put students at the center of all that we do.
