What study abroad opportunities are offered by WMU?
Every year, on average more than 500 WMU students embark to study in more than 36 countries on six continents. You may study in locations as culturally rich and diverse as Malaysia, Sweden, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, Spain, China, Japan, Norway, Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa and New Zealand. Individual arrangements to study in many other countries is also possible depending on your area of interest.
WMU students have four different options for studying abroad:
- WMU specific programs
- Programs through other U.S. universities
- Through a study abroad program provider (i.e., International Studies Abroad, Cultural Experiences Abroad)
- Through direct enrollment in a foreign university
