What kinds of groups or clubs are active at WMU?
Western Michigan University offers more than 300 fully sanctioned student clubs and organizations in which you can participate. Involvement in extra curricular activities outside the classroom is an important aspect of college, and research shows that students who are fully involved in their college experiences are more likely to persist and graduate.
Each academic year begins with Bronco Bash, a campus and community fair that welcomes students to WMU and to Kalamazoo. This celebration of a new academic year features live bands, food vendors and novelty attractions as well as booths for the over 300 student organizations.
