What is WMU's campus like?

From a single building in 1903 to a comprehensive campus that covers nearly 600 acres and includes more than 125 buildings, Western Michigan University is a pedestrian friendly campus that was designed to protect the many open spaces and create a park-like environment that enhances the natural beauty of the rolling hills, woods and ponds.

WMU encompasses three campuses (West Campus which is the main campus, Oakland Drive Campus  which houses the College of Health and Human Services, and Parkview Campus, home to the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences), all with a variety of architectural designs from the modern new medical and health center on the Oakland Drive Campus to the historically rich Walwood Hall on East Campus.
