Is there an admission appeals process?

It is our goal to admit to WMU all students who are qualified to compete in an academically rigorous setting.  On occasion,  there are circumstances in a student's life that have negatively impacted his or her ability to perform academically while in high school.  When those situations exist and students who initially have been denied admission to WMU wish to be reconsidered, they should submit in writing a letter that provides specific reasons why their performance is below our minimum standards.  A detailed plan to overcome any existing obstacles should be included.

Appeals must be in writing, and decisions by the appeal committee are final.
