Is there an admission appeals process?

It is our goal to admit to WMU all students who are qualified to compete in an academically rigorous setting.  On occasion,  there are circumstances in a student's life that have negatively impacted his or her ability to perform academically while in high school.  When those situations exist and a student who initially has been denied admission to WMU wishes to be reconsidered, he or she should submit in writing a letter that provides specific reasons why his/her performance is below our minimum standards.  A detailed plan to overcome any existing obstacles should be included.

Appeals must be in writing and decisions by the appeal committee are final.
