About

Hey guys! My name is Pasha, and I am from Rochester Hills Michigan. I went to Avondale High Shool, and graduated with the class of 2010, so I am freshman here at Western. :)

In my college choosing process, I started with three main colleges I was interested in, and then narrowed down the options by touring all the schools, and visiting the websites for more information. I decided on Western from touring. I visited the campus and immediately fell in love with it. I was captured by Western for so many reasons. First, I liked that it was a medium sized campus that gave me a comfortable feel. Second, I liked that my tour guide had an energetic, exciting personality that really made me comfortable. And finally, I like the Bronco pride. I could just feel how excited everybody was about representing their school. My major is journalism, and I came to it because of my love of writing. I really enjoy writing stories, and I felt that journalism provided a good fit for me.

One thing I like to say to prospective students is that they will never be bored. There are endless things to do on campus! I personally, am involved in the Martin Luther King Jr. Academy, the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, and the Student Ambassador program. I am an on-campus student, and I live in Valley Two Eicher Hall. Life in the residence halls can be pretty interesting. As the only girl in a small family, I was used to my own space. It’s a big difference having to share it with someone else. At first it was a bit challenging, but overall my roommate, my suitemates and I have built sisterly bonds. In my free time, I am more often than not doing homework! It may seem strange, but I’d rather get my homework done when I have free time, than let it pile up later on. Other than homework though, I love going to campus activities and events that the Campus Activities Board, fraternities and sororities host.
