Every year, on average more than 500 WMU students take leave from campus to study in more than 36 countries on 6 continents. You may study in locations as culturally rich and diverse as Malaysia, Sweden, Mexico, Egypt, Russia, Spain, China, Japan, Norway, Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and New Zealand.. Individual arrangements to study in many other countries may also be possible depending on your area of interest.
WMU students have four different options for studying abroad: WMU specific programs, programs through other US universities, through a study abroad program provider (i.e., International Studies Abroad, Cultural Experiences Abroad), and through direct enrollment in a foreign university.
