Does WMU have an honors program?

The Lee Honors College has provided a dynamic learning community for WMU's academically talented students for over 30 years.  The LHC offers personal attention and care for its 1200 students. 

Merit awards available for incoming new students include the Medallion Scholarship (worth $40,000 over four years) and the Cultural Diversity Scholarship.

For upper level students, competitive awards include the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Award, the Seibert Research Travel Award, the Dean's Summer Thesis Stipend and The Donna M. Elliot Honors Scholarship in Business Administration.

You may enroll in Lee Honors College as a new, first-time student, a currently enrolled WMU student, or as a transfer student.  The criteria for  new students include a minimum 3.6 high school cumulative g.p.a. and a minimum  ACT composite score of 26.  College transfer students should present a minimum cumulative g.p.a. of 3.5.
