The goal of student financial assistance at WMU is to provide the financial assistance necessary to make it possible for every student who enrolls to complete degree requirements and graduate. Need-based aid is awarded in the form of a combination of both gift aid and self-help. Last year more than 70 percent of all undergraduate students received one or more forms of financial assistance totaling more than $160 million.
Most of the awards based on academic achievement are renewable for all four years of study by maintaining a minimum cumulative grade point average.
