Merck and Co. donated copies of the 14th edition of The Merck Index to ACS to distribute to its Local Sections for distribution to their local schools and other venues as a means of encouraging science education.  Here KACS Councilor and Outreach Coordinator Lydia Hines presents a copy to Alan Nieboer, chemistry teacher at Kalamazoo Christian High School, on October 20, 2009, during National Chemistry Week.
